RELATIONS BETWEEN THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO AND MALAYSIA

The diplomatic relations between Malaysia between Morocco were established since 1963. Malaysia opened an embassy in Rabat in 1966. The opening of a Moroccan Embassy in Kuala Lumpur took place in 1988.
Since then the bilateral relations have evolved steadily especially after the visit of Mr Abderrahmane Youssoufi, former Prime Minister of Morocco to Malaysia in 2001 which was reciprocated in 2002 with the visit of Tun Mohamad Mahathir to Morocco in 2002. Those two important visits were the occasion of the signing of many agreements which cover many aspects of the cooperation between the two countries.
